The garden and grounds are beautiful but that is where the positive comments end. Booked a function and when we arrived nothing was set up. Had to quickly arrange some small tables, not the large table under the vines as promised.Had to arrange our own platters without any assistance, no tongs, no gloves to arrange their meat and cheese. They ran out of bread. Never replenished water on tables, Service was very poor and slow. Part of the problem is there was only one staff member on and they had a couple of bookings. It was very disappointing and a shame as it could be so much better
Tasty wines and perfect service
I was then hen on my hens day and was greeted at this winery with youre half an hour late then given rude and horrible service, while being slightly late on on a scheduled winery tour. Even if we were late, I dont believe your service should be so horrible, we were greated with a rude tasting and then, pushed out the door. I do not believe that the late schedule, nor our tame behaviour should have been greated with such rudeness. It was not our fault, just time travel between a scheduled program. Disgusted in the treatment we received and will never return.
A little hidden gem considering how close it is to the eastern suburbs. Has the feel of a much bigger Yarra Valley estate and their ciders are from real apples, not concentrate.
Had a very solid dinner here a few months back. Wait staff are knowledgeable and friendly, food service is prompt and efficient (ie., no unnecessary hovering) and the wines are first rate. Apple brandy - wonderful.
